Nikolaisaal Potsdam is a modern concert hall in Potsdam's historic city centre, designed by French architect Rudy Ricciotti. Its architecture brings together a Baroque front building and preserved historic elements with a distinctly contemporary Great Hall, characterised by its wave-shaped ceiling and curved walls. The main auditorium accommodates up to 725 visitors, with 475 seats in the stalls and 250 on the gallery level, providing clear views of the stage from different parts of the hall.
The interior was specifically conceived for musical performances. Numerous specially shaped sound diffusers along the walls contribute to the acoustics, while modern stage and audio equipment supports classical concerts, jazz, popular music and other programmes. A spacious foyer with areas for relaxing and a bar complements the experience before performances and during intervals.
The visitor entrance is located at Wilhelm-Staab-Straße 10-11, Potsdam, Germany. There is no dedicated visitor parking directly at Nikolaisaal, but public parking garages are available nearby, while the Platz der Einheit/West stop is only a short walk from the entrance.
