Silva Concert Hall is the main large-scale performance hall within the Hult Center for the Performing Arts in Eugene. Opened as part of the center in 1982, it seats 2,447 guests and combines the warmth and attention to detail associated with a traditional 19th-century opera house with modern performance technology. Its distinctive geometric basket-weave ceiling and multi-level auditorium give the hall a memorable visual character, while the stage facilities accommodate concerts, theatrical productions, musicals, dance performances and other major live events.
Despite its capacity, the auditorium is designed to maintain a sense of connection between the audience and the stage. Its acoustic qualities are particularly well suited to orchestral and other musical performances, while seating across the orchestra and upper levels provides a variety of viewing perspectives. The spacious shared areas of the Hult Center also provide room for audiences to gather before performances and during intervals.
The venue is located at 1 Eugene Center, Eugene, United States, in the central part of the city between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue along Willamette Street. The adjacent Hult Parking Garage connects directly to the center by a skybridge from its third level, allowing guests to enter without returning to street level, while a passenger drop-off and ramped entrance are available from 6th Avenue on the north side.
