The Curtis M Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is one of Gainesville's principal performing arts venues, located within the Cultural Plaza on the western side of the University of Florida campus. Opened in the early 1990s, its main proscenium hall accommodates approximately 1,750 visitors. The complex also includes the more intimate Squitieri Studio Theatre with around 200 seats, allowing the venue to host a varied program ranging from theatre and dance to concerts, comedy and appearances by international performers.
