Overture Hall at Overture Center for the Arts is the largest performance venue within Overture Center and one of Madison's principal settings for major theatrical productions, musicals, concerts and other live performances. Overture Center was designed by internationally acclaimed architect César Pelli, while the hall itself accommodates approximately 2,255 guests across Orchestra, Circle, Mezzanine and Balcony levels. Elegant interior lines, expansive lobby spaces and large glass façades give the complex a distinctive contemporary character.
Acoustics are a central part of the hall's design. Overture Hall uses a “box within a box” construction that helps isolate the auditorium from outside noise, while the shape of the ceiling and walls supports clear sound distribution throughout the seating area.
