H-E-B Performance Hall is the main performance venue within the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts and a prominent setting for theatre, concerts, dance and other live productions in San Antonio. The hall combines contemporary performing-arts architecture with the historic character of the former Municipal Auditorium, whose original façade was preserved during the transformation of the complex. Its flexible layout accommodates around 1,738 guests in reserved seating or up to 2,100 in a general-admission configuration, while the main floor can be converted into a flat-floor space for different event formats.
One of the hall's defining features is its adjustable acoustics, which can be tuned for both acoustic and amplified performances. Audience seating is distributed across the orchestra level, grand tier boxes, mezzanine and balcony, giving the venue a traditional theatrical feel within a modern multipurpose design. Extensive sound insulation separates the hall from other spaces in the complex, while food and beverage options within the Tobin Center may also be available depending on the event.
The venue is located at 100 Auditorium Cir, San Antonio, United States. The Tobin Center Parking Garage at 227 4th Street is less than two blocks from the main entrance, while the passenger drop-off and rideshare area is on Auditorium Circle, to the left of the center's front steps.
