Anheuser-Busch Performance Hall is the largest performance venue within the Touhill Performing Arts Center on the University of Missouri–St. Louis campus. Part of a performing arts complex designed by the renowned architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, the hall follows the character of a European-style opera house with a proscenium stage and a capacity of approximately 1,600. It accommodates theatre and dance productions, concerts and a broad range of other stage events.
One of the hall’s defining features is its acoustics, supported by adjustable sound-dampening panels and a wood-veneer orchestra shell designed to assist sound projection. The multi-level auditorium provides different perspectives of the stage, while accessible seating is available for wheelchair users. A concessions area directly outside the hall’s main floor typically offers drinks, snacks and light meals during many ticketed events.
